Rated 2 out of 5 by from Do not stay tight! We bought these straps at Lowes to tie down ATVs. The straps are tight when we load up & they are loose when we reach our destination. We have even stopped in route to check them & we have to tighten them again.

How do I loosen the strap to remove and reuse it? Nothing I've tried has enabled me to loosen the webbing. Any directions for that? There must be a way to loosen it.

I solved my own problem. It wasn't that I was not using the correct release mechanism. It's that I had misused the webbing since I DIDN"T LOOK AT THE MANUAL. Once I LOOKED AT THE MANUAL, it became clear to my befuddled mind how to proceed. The webbing had become jammed on the tensioner axle because I re-threaded the loose end back into the wrapping around the axle, since I DIDN"T LOOK AT THE MANUAL. All is well now, and I am chagrined.

Can you safely strap a vehicle (2,500 lbs) to a vehicle trailer using these 4 straps together? Thanks.
