Rated 1 out of 5 by from Froze my hands Went out to secure tarp over utility trailer pre-storm. No diagrams on how to even open the jaws! Could not use. Wasted time and money!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from If they work, they work great I recently bought a 4 pack of the tarp clips. Of which 3 work, and work great. The fourth doesn’t work at all, the little teeth don’t catch even slightly. They are rather difficult to install snug enough to stay in place, a pliers or similar is needed to squeeze them tightly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality material I bought 10 of these from Lowe's in Norwich, NY thinking they would be great for covering my grill, my lawn mower, and to possibly use to make an awning for some shade. I read one other review on here and that gentleman was under the impression that the cold made the material brittle; it has been in the upper 70's-lower 90's out, so not exactly chilly out...one broke in a shopping bag that had only these in it, another 2 break trying to get it to latch, and just now one when I was attempting to unlatch it to use...not impressed whatsoever.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from cold weather brittle I bought 5 Tarp Clips last fall as repair s to a tarp that covers my tractor over the winter. The clips held great, even during a heaver snow storm. The tarp however tore at each clip so I tried to reset the clips and continue to use the same tarp. Two of the clips broke while trying to release the grips. two more broke while I tried to reset the jaws. It seems that you need to modify the polymer you use to make them cold hardy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor design I had to use pliers to clip these onto a double layer of tarp.

Are these supposed to close? I've got four of them and the ridge clicking thing doesn't grab when you close them

Asked by: Sapper22
I thought the same thing, couldn't work out how to get them to grab. You have to push down just behind the ridge clicking thing, not in front of it where the opening is.

I just bought 8 of these at Lowe's and I can't push it hard enough to really grab my tarp on my pool. I want to snag more tarp before our snow storm on Saturday can you email me what else to squeeze the clip as several grommets have ripped out. Thanks
