TACTICAL 10′ RATCHET TIE DOWN; 1,500 LBS (2 PACK) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from These straps have problems tightening. Bought these from the auto store and they have problems tightening. When you start tightening and get it to where it just starts to have tension the ratchet breaks open because the metal piece that is supposed to hold on to the teeth have very weak springs on it. So once it gets tension I have to hold the metal piece down to keep tightening. I've used cheaper ratchet straps in the past that never had that problem. I would take these back if I still had my reciept.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Heavy duty These are great and do an excellent job of keeping things tied down in the back of a truck. We recently had to move a washer and it didn't move an inch. Super easy to use and you can be confident that things will stay put

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Work well, but had a few problems TACTICAL 10′ RATCHET TIE DOWN; 1,500 LBS (2 PACK) This ratchet set works pretty well, but I did have a few problems. First thing was getting them out of the package, you will either need pliers to untwist the wires or wire cutters. The second was not finding directions to connect the strap to the ratchet. I did finally find the directions, which is the label that is attached to the strap. But they were so small that I had to use a magnifying glass to read them. And the directions were not very clear on which way to put the strap into the slot. After doing what I thought was the correct way, it turned out it I put it in the wrong direction. The next problem is the release button, when pushing it, it tends to move around and it only releases one side. But after messing with it, it did eventually unhook. But that could definitely use some work. Aside from the few minor problems it all worked out. Hopefully the company will make some modifications to fix it up. They did work, but I really do not think I would purchase this one again, knowing what I went through to get them to work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well These ratchet straps are built sturdy and work well for a multitude of projects that need to be strapped down such as large or small cargo or tarps covering tree clippings. The design is very rugged and looks really nice. They are lightweight but that doesn’t take away from the performance of the product.

The ratchet will tighten the strap with the ratcheting motion, as well as loosen the strap by using the release feature. Not exactly knowing which ratchet strap you are referring to, you may not need the very beginning on how to thread it, but this short video includes how to tighten and release the strap as well. https://youtu.be/TaZGVCZFg80
